The Parent Empowerment Program is meant to provide a forum for parents to meet each other and learn about their rights in the child protection system. By meeting others, families can gain vital support from those who are experiencing similar situations to their own. By focusing on a specific topic at each session, parents can come away from each session with new concrete information. In addition, we will discuss recommendations for changes in each area of discussion so that, together, we can advocate for policies that make sense to the families we serve.
